About ilmspire
A grassroots project, ten years in.
ilmspire began in 2016 as a small circle of teachers who refused a simple choice: that a child had to pick between being academically serious and spiritually rooted. A decade later, we are still teaching, and still refusing.
Our approach
A synthesis, not a compromise.
We work primarily with the Muslim community, and we work deliberately across it, non-sectarian, pluralistic, honest about the plurality of our tradition.
Our curriculum takes the national standards seriously and takes Arabic language and Islamic Studies just as seriously. We do not treat one as decoration for the other.
Above all, we believe children flourish when they are known, by small teachers, in small rooms, over long enough time to see them change. That is the school we would want for our own.
